Day in Clay

Artist-in-Residence / In-school programs

Where creativity, culture, and clay intersect

Students experience a hands-on artist’s studio life, with a program that provides 25+ years of classroom programs in multicultural three-dimensional arts. Excite creativity, encourage cultural exporation and the centuries-old connection between art, form and function.

Virtual Day in Clay

A vibrant online mix of activities and lecture.
Explore the life of the studio artist, cultural arts history, potter’s wheel segments, video, and visual media across cultures with interactive quizzes, and Q & A. Engaging and unique.

In-School

The Artist-in-Residence concept transports students ‘behind the curtain’ into the life and artistic decision-making in creative arts and functional pottery through the ages and across cultures. Classroom and Assembly programs combine art, history, culture, and clay.

Staff Development

Hands-on and interactive—we provide on-site, virtual, and a hybrid-approach, to infuse your arts program with in-depth knowledge of clay, firings, socio-cultural history, and teaching techniques.

Day-in-Clay —Live!

Within minutes participants are involved in the process of working with clay and learning about the relationship between art and society.
